Here, to the right, we'll find ourselves a map of Brazil's annual Air Temperature.
On this map we will find three different ranges of temps. Taking up about half the map and occupying much of the Amazonian Brazil, is the peach color, with a blotch along the Eastern coast. This is where the average temperature of Brazil is over twenty-five degrees Celsius. The temperatures ranges are higher on average because this area has a lower elevation, as well as being located closer to the equator. The yellow is our intermediate range. The temperatures in the yellow region average between twenty and twenty-five degrees annually. This has a higher elevation than would be found in the Amazonian part of Brazil, as a result it doesn't have the wide diversity of plant and animal life. Instead of a thriving rain forest this area is largely savannah. Lastly the green area on the southern tip of the map is our coldest region, staying at or below twenty degrees Celsius. This is some of the highest elevations in Brazil, it is also the furthest from the equator, giving way to a low annual temperature. |
