Brazil is known for its huge amount of tropical rain forests, which are sadly being destroyed at a rapid rate. The tropical rain forests of Brazil covers about half of Brazil. Not all of Brazil is suitable for these ancient forests of diversity. The climate of the rain forests allow for the widest range of diversity of life found on the planet.
Brazil has a span of higher elevation, known as the Brazilian highlands. This area has a lower amount of rain than the rain forest, meaning larger plants such as trees can't support themselves. This leaves smaller plants to thrive, and create the savannas.
