As we can see in the map to our right, most of Brazil has heavy rainfall. Most of the country averages between 60 and 120 inches of rain annually. Most of the rain will be found in the humid equatorial climate, which is to be expected. Where we see the decrease in rainfall is in the semi-arid. This is caused because there is an irregularity in the air masses coming into the area.
